The Chateau was beautiful and our hosts and their family were very welcoming. It was one of our favorite places we stayed. We picked it because it was close to St Emillion and slightly less expensive. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. It was extremely hot when we were there and they have a lovely pool that was a welcome relief. Highly recommended.

Owners very helpful and welcoming. Lovely rooms, recently fitted out.
No tv in our room, normally it would be ok, but at this price we assumed it was, as we particularly wanted to catch up on the tour de france and couldn'T.

The room is beautifully designed and has modern amenities including a laptop-compatible safe, central heating, and an iron. The property's location is fantastic, being close to a restaurant, a popular bar on the Dordogne riverside, the local supermarket, and wineries. it's only 300 meters from the lake.

Location, design, rooms, cleanliness, etc etc + isabelle, all top and perfectly merged into that old chateaux - the reason we booked the chateau de courtebotte was because it was family owned and managed, and that at the end of the day is what makes the difference, it can't be explained with pictures but it will always give you a plus, and here it certainly does....
I would maybe recommend better pictures (usually its the opposite, but here reality is nicer than images...) and maybe a small extra touch for breakfast
